Bunyala self-help groups have been urged to join saccos for financial empowerment. Pamoja Sacco chairman Erick Were said saccos will uplift the living standards of the members. Speaking during the sacco’s group integration, saving and empowerment graduation ceremony in Port Victoria last Friday, Were urged non-members to join to enable them get to loans and other financial benefits.
“Saccos are not betting games where winning is not guaranteed,” Were said. “We are planning to set up our own micro-enterprise bank where members will save and get loans to enable them to invest in business activities for more income.”
