The protestors took issue with the Jubilee Party’s National Election Board which they claimed had conducted shoddy nomination process.

The High court in Nairobi ruled on Friday that Wanjiku had won the nomination exercise fairly and directed the Jubilee Party to issue her with a certificate.

Earlier on, the Party had declared Gitau the winner having polled 106,098 votes against Wanjiku’s 70,765 votes.
