Eliud Wabukala promised to lead the war against corruption during his swearing-in as EACC chairperson on Monday.
Asking all leaders to be accountable and honest in their service to the people, the
former ACK Archbishop said all those found guilty of corruption will face the law.
"I call upon
Kenyans to join us in the war against graft, not be part of the problem," he said.
"It will take time but we will come out victorious. Our leaders, such as governors and parastatal heads, will have to be accountable for their departments and areas of
service
because we all have to be responsible."
Wabukala also called for an end to greed saying it is the key root of corruption.
"Be thankful for what you have and don't desire for what you don't have," he said.
He added that the hope is that Kenya's challenges will be addressed so that corruption does not render gains made useless.

Attorney General Githu Muigai congratulated Wabukala saying the government will work with the
EACC to ensure openness and transparency.
"We must deal with corruption the best way we can because it is known to fight back. The government remains committed to ending this vice by all means," he said.
Chief Justice David Maraga termed corruption Kenya's "biggest cancer". He asked Wabukala to lead the fight and work with other authorities in order to win.
"I believe you, being a team leader, will lead this fight and that you will emerge victorious and help restore our country's glory," he stated.
Wabukala's candidature was , MPs terming him
qualified and sufficiently experienced to lead the anti-graft commission.
