QUACK doctor James Ndichu, alias Mugo Wairimu, was yesterday charged afresh with rape. He was also charged with operating a clinic without a valid licence and masquerading as a gynaecologist.
He made headlines last year when a video appeared to show a man assaulting a patient who was apparently sedated. The prosecution told the Milimani chief magistrate Daniel Ogembo it wants to amend the charge sheet. Wairimu denied the 12 counts levelled against him. The case was adjourned when he said he wants to hire a new lawyer. Ogembo set the hearing for May 4 and 5.
