The fate of 11 of the 32 senior police officers sent home by the National Police Service Commission was sealed on Thursday evening.
The NPSC declined to review the dismissal of the senior officers but agreed to reconsider its decision on the others.
Among the 11 is former deputy commissioner Francis Okonya and former General Service Unit boss Joseph Soi.
Okonya was kicked out of the service after a public tiff with NPSC chairman Johnston kavuludi and his commissioners.
He also failed to explain the source of millions of shillings in his bank account.
Accusations against Soi included shooting a motorist.
The top cops who have been dismissed have the option of seeking court intervention to keep their jobs.
Those
whose sacking the commission will review
will face fresh vetting next week.
