Part of the Uhuru Highway near Museum Hill was on Tuesday closed to allow for the construction of a subway for the University of Nairobi students.

Motorists plying the Waiyaki Uhuru highway were forced to divert at Museum Hill or KBC to make space for the construction of the subway, largely used by University of Nairobi students. 

The students had no safe pathway to use to cross the road and get to school.
