Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung'u is expected to read the 2023/2024 budget statement.

This year's budget is Sh3.6 trillion compared to last year which was Sh3.31 trillion.

He arrived at Parliament on Thursday afternoon for the announcement of 2022-23 Budget estimates.

The CS was accompanied by PS Chris Kiptoo among others.

Ndung' u started his journey along Harambee Avenue from his office at Treasury Buildings.

He rode in a black Passat as police walked on the sides as he headed to Parliament Buildings.  

Heavy police presence around the Parliament Building ahead of the budget reading is also evident.
