Marende while at Mumboha primary urged voters to turn up in large numbers to exercise their democratic writes.

“It’s the only day we have to determine the next government that will deliver services that we want as Kenyans," Marende said.

"We want a government that we shall hold accountable in terms of development, socio-economic, Health-wise and among other issues."

Marende said all that can be achieved if voters are going to make wise decisions on the ballot.

He said there is a need to show up in large numbers and elect leaders of integrity from the President, Governor, Senator, Woman Rep, Mp and MCA for service delivery.

“Once we have elected sober leaders we stand at a better place to ensure we have credible service from the National level to the ward level via devolution.

He raised the concern on voters’ turnout citing that people should up their game to bit the time in electing sober leaders.

“Let us not make assumptions that our preferred candidates have won these elections if we don’t turn up and vote,” Marende said.

“I urge my people as well when they cast their vote to make wise decisions on the ballot.”

The former Speaker urged the IEBC to deliver credible results as per the will of voters across the country.

“The process is going on transparently. We haven't heard any complaints so far though the speed is quite low.
