We shall tackle you head on wherever you are, ANC and Ford Kenya leaders Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula have told the Azimio One Kenya alliance.

They were speaking in Kakamega on Tuesday when they accompanied Senator Cleophas Malala for clearance by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

Malala was cleared to run for the Kakamega governor seat.

“We want to state very categorically that the Kenya Kwanza fraternity is going to conduct its election in accordance with the code of conduct of the IEBC," Mudavadi said.

He accused Azimio of spreading falsehoods against the Kenya Kwanza candidates, who include Malala, Senator Sakaja (Nairobi) and Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi (Vihiga), all aspiring to be governors.

“We are going to rally behind all Kenya Kwanza candidates and also campaign very vigorously for William Samoei Ruto so that on August 9, victory shall be so decisive," the ANC boss said.

Wetang’ula said the Mulembe community was not a colony, an extension nor appendage of any individual or political wing.

“We are a proud community and those we have supported before look at us as a bunch of sour grapes," he said.
