Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has asked Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to join Kenya Kwanza brigade and support DP William Ruto's presidential bid.

MP Barasa trashed OKA's deal saying that it will not bear fruits if it signs a coalition agreement with Azimio la Umoja led by ODM boss Raila Odinga.

The MP spoke on Wednesday at Bahai in his constituency during a rally to woo voters to re-elect him.

"If Kalonzo is clever enough he should stop wasting time and waiting to join Azimio's frustrations after they will be defeated by Kenya Kwanza brigade. Let him come and join Kenya Kwanza which is a sure bet," Barasa said.

He said Raila frustrated his Nasa co- principals after entering into a handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The legislator said Raila is not someone you can plan a deal with, he (Raila) changes after he reaps big from the deal.

"I want to tell my good friend Kalonzo to think twice before signing an agreement with that mzee wa vitendawili. He will frustrate you again," he said.

Barasa said Kalonzo should follow Moses Wetang'ula's and Musalia Mudavai's footsteps to continue surviving in Kenyan politics.

The Tanga Tanga MP asked Kimilili residents to re-elect him based on his development record, adding that no candidate will defeat him in August polls.

"Where I have reached is not easy as some of you think. I have really struggled to bring Kimilili to where it is today. I have faced defeat from my opponents sponsored by CS Eugene Wamalwa," he said.

He said his rivals have gone to the extend of unveiling a DAP-K candidate to compete him in August polls but his work speaks for itself.

The first term MP said CS Wamalwa has been going around Kimilili wooing residents to rally behind his DAP-K party.

He said voters in his constituency are behind the Ruto's UDA party.

"I want to dismiss those senseless sentiments and clear the air that Kimilili is behind Kenya Kwanza brigade," he said.

Barasa said residents should support Ruto's presidential bid, adding that Kenya Kwanza is optimistic of taking the government in August.
