A lady in Malimali village in Malava Constituency, Kakamega County, on Thursday found her son’s body hanging from the rooftop of his bedroom.

She said she had left home for work early in the morning but upon return, she found her 19-year-old Timothy Indimuli bedroom door locked from inside.

She raised the alarm and some neighbours helped her to break the door only to find her son dead.

No one knew his whereabouts the whole day.

The mother, Rasowa, said that he had been stressed for lack of a sustainable job and claimed that that might have pushed him to commit suicide.

The body of the deceased was taken to Kakamega County General Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue pending autopsy.

Police officers in Kabras have launched investigations into the matter.

Hamberere Assistant Chief Violet Barasa urged the youth to seek advice from parents or elders whenever faced with life challenges.
