Delayed bill of quantities will be a thing of the past, Busia Infrastructure executive Okwara Ekirapa has assured.

He praised efforts made by Public Works officers in generating the bill of quantities within the scheduled time frame.

Ekirapa spoke during the handover of education, public works and governorship projects for 2020-21 in Malaba. He promised to ensure that bills of quantities for other departments are delivered in good time to facilitate easy execution of infrastructure projects.

Among the flagship projects to be undertaken by the Health department is a one-storey building at Amukura Health Centre to house a maternity wing, a theatre, a female and paediatric ward.

Education executive Grephas Opata, who represented Deputy Governor Moses Mulomi, said bill of quantities is vital in the development of projects.
