Moi University faces a worsening shortage of hostels and lecture rooms, among other facilities, because of poor funding.
Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson

Mandago on Saturday said the population of students at the university has increased rapidly, but the government has yet to increase financial allocations.
Mandago, who visited the university, said the crisis may undermine education standards. He was accompanied by former registrar of the Judiciary Gladys Shollei, JP’s woman representative candidate for the county.
Mandago said leaders from the region have met with Finance CS Henry Rotich to increase funding for the university to enable it to carry out its operations properly.
