Popular one-man-guitar musician Paul Salim, alias Salim Junior will be buried on February 2 at his father’s farm in Arash, Subukia subcounty, Nakuru county.

The artist died last Saturday morning at the War Memorial Hospital in Nakuru.

Subukia MP Nelson Gaichuhie, the burial committee coordinator, yesterday said the funeral service will be done on the same day at Subukia shopping centre.

“In a meeting on his funeral arrangements on Sunday evening, the burial was set for Tuesday at his father’s farm next to the NYS Camp, Subukia,” Gaichuhie told the Star on the phone.

He said the funeral meetings are ongoing at Salim’s father’s home in Subukia and at the Blue Springs Hotel off the Thika Superhighway, Nairobi, every evening until next Monday.

The artist’s brother Njuguna Salim, alias Mighty Salim, said the musician had been sick for a month and had gone to their rural home in Subukia about three weeks ago.

“Salim Junior’s condition worsened on Friday and on Saturday morning, the family rushed him to hospital, where he died,” Njuguna said.
