SIX MPs from Baringo county joined Governor Benjamin Cheboi in a peace initiative. Lawmakers William Cheptumo (Baringo North), Asman Kamama (Tiaty), Sammy Mwaita (Baringo Central), Grace Kipchoim (Baringo South), Hellen Sambili (Mogotio) and women’s representative Grace Kiptui led a three-day anti-insecurity convoy to Kapturo in Baringo North on Saturday, and Mukutani, Arabal and Sirata in Marigat subcounty yesterday. They will be in Tiaty subcounty today.

Cheptumo, Kipchoim and Kiptui took Kamama to task over the Pokot from Tiaty subcounty who are suspected to lead frequent raids. Cheptumo called upon Kamama to arrest cattle raiders and hand them to the law.

“We are certain that these are people we know and some of them even happen to be our relatives. We must identify and track them,” he said.
