A KCSE candidate at KapKenda girls in Elgeyo Marakwet county has gone missing for 10 days. Her worried parents are asking for help to trace her.

Agnes Mugusu went missing on May 24 on her way to school. She had gone home for treatment.

Her father Moses Nyandika said they have unsuccessfully searched for her with reports indicating she was last seen in Eldoret town. The school administration had released her to go home for medication.

Speaking to the Star in Eldoret town yesterday, Nyandika said her daughter was suffering from chest problems."She also had ulcers and when she came home she was admitted in hospital and treated for three days," he said.

Nyandika said the problem would at times cause her daughter to become unconcious.

Nyandika, who is from Awasi in Kisumu district, said he escorted Mugusu to Kisumu, shopped for her and ensured she boarded a matatu to Eldoret.

"She was quite well when we parted at the bus stage in Kisumu. We knew she would arrive at school well," he said.

On Friday, the school called Nyandika to find out how Mugusu was doing.

"That's when we discovered that she was missing and started searching for her," said Nyandika.

He said Mugusu was in school uniform.

Nyandika said a teacher said he spotted the girl, who appeared confused in Eldoret and helped her to the bus stage she was to board a matatu to school.

"That is the last time she was seen. We have reported to the police and we appeal to the public to help us trace her," said Nyandika.
