The man who calls himself Nabii Yohana wa Tano comes from Nandolia village, Bukembe East ward.

Bungoma county police commander Francis Kooli on Monday visited the Muungano Church of All Nations in Nandolia village. He said Nabii Yohana wa Tano will be required to explain about the operations of his church on Friday.

“I’m not harassing anybody. I'm only undertaking the government’s mandate to ensure that churches operating in this region follow the right channel,” Kooli said.

On Friday, the 'prophet' will be required to carry the items he uses to teach his followers.

“I have politely asked Nabii to present himself on Friday in Bungoma so that we can have a chat with him. I also requested him to carry his tools of work,” Kooli told the Star.

Hew said police officers are interested to know about the bible that the prophet claims to have written himself.

Kooli said they only want to check if the churches operating in Bungoma are following the right channel.

During the county commander’s visit at the Nabii’s home on Monday the prophet wasn’t present but his tenth wife, Catherine Nalonja, assured the police that he will present himself to answer the questions.
