Four arrested over man's murder in Kisumu

They allegedly attacked and killed the victim on Saturday night over a woman.

Four suspects have been arrested in Muhoroni, Kisumu county for allegedly killing a 21-year-old man over a woman.

Police gave their names as James Agumba, David Ochieng, Bildad Otieno and Nelson Mandela.

County police commander Alphonse Kimanthi said they are suspected to have brutally murdered John Ouma during a fight on Saturday night.

 

The deceased had deep cuts on his right thigh, elbow, back, buttocks, right ear, and the right hand was chopped off from the wrist.

Kimanthi said the murder incident was reported by Tamu location chief on Sunday. The body was found lying along Tamu- Muhoroni road.

Kimanthi said the suspects will be taken to court on Wednesday to be charged with murder.

Ouma was in the company of the suspects when a fight broke out over a woman.

He is suspected to have been trailed on his way home after the 10pm fight, attacked and killed on the spot.

The scene was visited by DCI officers as they launched investigations into the brutal killing.

The suspects are in custody at Chemelil Police Station in Muhoroni subcounty. The body was taken to Othoo funeral home.
