Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged Azimio-Oka presidential candidate Raila Odinga to back his presidential bid in 2027.

Kalonzo said he had supported Raila three times and it was time he did the same.

“If Raila doesn’t support my presidential bid in 2027, I will retire from politics and go to Tseikuru,” Kalonzo said on Saturday at Kyuso market.

However, Kalonzo urged residents to support his bid in 2027.

Kalonzo said the Wiper party is still pushing for Mike Mbuvi Sonko to vie for the Mombasa governor seat saying the reason behind the interruptions is because his rivals are afraid he will win.

To cushion residents from the high cost of living, Kalonzo said when the coalition ascends to power, they will introduce free education to cushion parents.

“We cannot take our children to school and after graduating we give them wheelbarrows,” Kalonzo said.

He said once he becomes the Chief Minister, he will ensure the Mwingi-Usueni-Maua road is completed.

Kalonzo urged residents to vote in all Wiper candidates.

Former Narok Senator, Julius Sunkuli who had accompanied him said the Maasai community is behind Azimio urging residents and especially in Mwingi North, which is Kalonzo’s backyard, to support him fully.

“When Kalonzo picked me as his deputy when he had decided to run for the presidency, the Masai community embraced the gesture and are fully behind him,” he said.

Kitui Senator Enock Kiio said the party has a plan for the Akamba community and will now vote for Raila and Kalonzo in 2027.

“Our kingpin has all the muscles to become the 6th president and I’m asking for your support,” Kiio told residents.

Kitui Woman Representative Irene Kasalu urged residents to ensure they vote in all Wiper candidates to ensure the community has numbers at the national level.

Mwingi North MP Paul Nzengu pleaded for peaceful campaigns urging residents to re-elect him.

He outlined some of the developments he has done in the area ranging from equitable distribution of bursaries, road grading, and sinking boreholes, among others.

The Wiper party leader was accompanied by some Kitui executive members and MCAs.
