Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has invited partners to help with professionalizing the City's inspectorate.

In a statement on Friday, Sakaja said improving Nairobi's inspectorate training schools and curriculum will see him achieve his goal for the city.

"All our 2,800 officers are an integral part of our goal of creating a city of order. This includes improving our Inspectorate training school facilities and curriculum," he said.

He added, "We welcome partners who would wish to join us in this endeavor and will be reaching out to you all for your thoughts on the kind of City Inspectorate you would like to see serving you".

In his manifesto, Sakaja said he will commit to transforming Nairobi into a city of dignity and order.

On Thursday, he promised to prioritize feeding programme for learners across Nairobi, especially those in public schools.

He said this is in a bid to increase school attendance and boost nutrition levels of the learners.

“We have been piloting the project in a few schools in Nairobi and have seen attendance in school go up by 100 per cent while performance has also improved by over 60 per cent,” Sakaja said.

He welcomed the partnership with the World Food Programme under Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah Zeid of Jordan in supporting the feeding programme and increasing nutrition.

The Princess had visited him.
