A teenager who shot and killed a police informer three years ago will be detained at the President's pleasure, an indefinite jail sentence.

The 18-year-old committed the "cold blooded" murder when he was 15 years old.

He was found guilty on Friday by High Court judge Jessie Lesiit.

The judge said the prosecution had proved he shot Isaya Ernest Alube on December 21, 2012, at Kiamaiko in Nairobi's Huruma estate.
