Governor Fatuma Achani has promised Kwale residents of equal access development and services without favour.

This comes as she intensifies the implementation of several projects across the county.

The projects include water, roads, street lighting, education, and health.

Achani said she would ensure every agenda in her manifesto is fulfilled to benefit locals.

She said her administration takes seriously its responsibility of ensuring that all Kwale citizens are accorded equal opportunities and development without discrimination.

"My leadership is focused on delivering what we promised during the campaign period and I will serve all fairly regardless of who voted me or not," she said.

Achani said she would not dither in fast-tracking the development agenda and raising the bar higher for the county to realise its dream.

The second Kwale governor said already she has made significant strides towards making the county a dynamic and vibrant economy.

She said the county has put in place necessary measures to provide a conducive environment for investment and several investors are coming in.

Achani made the remarks while presiding over the groundbreaking of murraming and grading of Mtsangatifu-Pemba road in Mwavumbo ward, Kinango subcounty.

The 6km road project will include the installation of 12 culverts and proper drainage systems.

Achani said the county government is committed to increasing access roads and connectivity to ease transport and business activities as well as improving the economy.

She said she aims at cushioning residents from the burden of poor roads network which has for years impeded socioeconomic growth.

Achani also launched the construction of Kafuduni trading centre streetlights within Mwavumbo.

She said the administration has moved to light up rural and urban areas to enhance proper investments and security.

"The project is aimed at providing light to business people at the trading center, as well as ensuring security to all road users at night," she said.

She said the initiative is part of the efforts of putting up sustainable equal development projects and bringing services closers to common citizens at the grassroots level.

The governor said her administration will continue to initiate more development for all citizens to enjoy and improve their lives.

Achani said to improve food security and livelihoods, they have escalated water projects in various parts of the county.

She said the projects will provide water for agriculture and domestic use that will play a long way in harnessing the effects of drought.

The recent water project to be launched is the Sh23 million Bububu Springs Water Supply Project in Tsimba Golini ward, Matuga subcounty.

The project entails the drilling of two boreholes meant to increase water volumes, the construction of a water treatment facility, fencing, security lighting and a guard house.

Achani said the project will increase water connectivity and enable Kwale residents to have access to clean and safe drinking water.

She said the county has replicated various development projects across Kwale to improve the lives of common citizens.

Achani assured the residents that they won't regret choosing her as a governor since she walks the talk.

"I am a hardworking person, and expect more development," she said.

Achani also called upon all county leaders and residents to support her development agenda.
