Simba Corp opens branch in Nyeri

Simba Corp on Friday opened a new branch in Nyeri town that will be selling and servicing all the brands sold by the corporation.

The brands are Mitsubishi, Mahindra, Proton, Fuso Trucks, Same Tractors and Colt Power Generators.

The new branch will have a service centre and will be selling spare parts for the different brands.

The branch will be serving Nyeri and neighbouring counties of Murang’a, Laikipia, Kirinyaga, Isiolo and Nyandarua.

“Simba Corporation is a 100 per cent Kenyan-owned business and we have been operating in Kenya for the last 57 years. Our customers are the driving force of the business and we felt by opening a branch in Nyeri, it will bring them closer to our customers in the central region,” Simba Corporation’s CEO Dinesh Kotecha said.

One of the corporation directors Linus Gitahi said opening of the branch was a significant milestone for the company.

This comes at a time of the year when businesses are maintaining their status quo or scaling down due to Covid-19 pandemic with the rate of unemployment is at 37 per cent.

“Simba Corp is growing and with the opening of this Nyeri branch it will be offering employment opportunities to our youth in the county. We are expanding to make sure we are able to bring services closer to our customers. This branch is a continuation of our expansion plan across the country,” he said.

Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga was the chief guest during the branch opening.

Kahiga said the county felt honoured by the move by Simba Corporation to open their sixth branch in Nyeri.
