The United for Kiambu team yesterday conducted a clean up at the Thika jua kali site.

The team comprises Jubilee governor candidate Ferdinand Waititu, Thika Town MP Alice Ng’ang’a (pictured), woman representative aspirant Gathoni Muchomba and the Rev Kariuki Ngari.

The group said it will improve the jua kali site. Waititu said if elected, his government will promote the informal sector, which has created jobs for thousands of youths.

He said it is unfortunate incumbent William Kabogo’s administration has abandoned the artisans.

Ng’ang’a urged Thika residents to reelect her so she can complete the initiatives she started.

The artisans said they will vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta and Jubilee Party candidates.
