Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua (above) did not attend the Mashujaa Day celebrations in Nyeri town on Thursday. He was represented by Deputy Governor Samuel Wamathai in Dedan Kimathi Kamukunji Stadium. Wamathai said his boss is outside the country on official duty. Gachagua has kept a low profile since he appeared before the Senate over his impeachment last month.
