Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has warned county staff against corruption.

He said the culprits will be sacked and legal action taken against them.

“I intend to make Kiambu a corruption-free zone,” Kabogo said in Ruiru town yesterday during an induction workshop for new Roads officials.

The 54 new officers include engineers, building inspectors, surveyors, superintendent of works and quality assurance personnel.

Kabogo said he will not put up with corrupt employees at the expense of services.

He said the workshop was to equip the officers with information about the department and the public’s expectations.

The assembly has summoned Public Service and Administration chief officer Dominic Gicheru today to explain allegations that two ward administrators paid Ngewa ward residents to protest against MCA Karungo wa Thang’wa.
