Kabras RFC assistant coach Edwin Achayo wants his charges to keep eyes on the prize as they chase the Kenya Cup honours.

Kabras have maintained their winning run this season—placing themselves in a strong position to fight for Kenya Cup title.

“I want to urge the players to keep their focus on the Kenya Cup and embrace a  match at a time," he noted.  He said their main target is to win the prestigious Kenya Cup and he believes they are on the right track.

" We want to approach the matches ahead with the seriousness they deserve because we believe at this level, each opponent is well prepared,” he noted.

Despite shifting their home ground to Nandi Bears Golf Club—away from their usual base Kakamega showground—due to strict Covid -19 protocolsm, Kabras  remain strong contenders for the event.

The Enterprise Cup defending champions have recently won their crucial matches convincingly against defending champions KCB and Menengai Oilers.

“It feels so good that even with Covid-19 protocols and its effects, we are still able to adapt and perform at high level,” said Achayo

He admitted that the team has started to experience some fatigue due to regular away matches. He, however, noted that there is a sigh of relief after the resumption of the home matches at Kakamega Showground.
