Great Rift professional golfer Justus Madoya has assured that he is not under pressure to play at home in the sixth leg of Safari Tour Golf Series set for November 23 to 27 at the par 72 Great Rift Valley Golf Club.

Madoya, who won the Entebbe Open with 9-under par 275 in Uganda said he is well prepared for a gruelling encounter.

As the only professional golfer from the club, chasing to maintain the pride of his club, Madoya said playing at home will be an added advantage as he takes on the visitors.

“I will play without pressure knowing very well that it is my home club and it carries a lot of weight,” said Madoya.

Madoya registered his maiden victory at the Safari Tour Golf Series in Entebbe and that has motivated him to greater heights.

“The Entebbe win has motivated me to play better golf and come the material day, I have to do my best to register good results. I know all eyes will be on me in the four-day tournament,” added Madoya.

He added that he is not a pressure man since he knows what is needed on the course.

He will be battling for the title against the likes of series leader Greg Snow and veteran Dismas Indiza — who won Lake Serena meeting on sudden-death play-off against Sujan Shah.

Others include Vet Lab’s Edwin Mudanyi, who turned professional in 2018 as well as Jeff Kubwa of Muthaiga, Dennis Saikwa of Royal, Matthew Wahome, David Wakhu, Erick Ooko, Alfred Nandwa.
