Nairobi City Stars want Muhoroni grounds in Kisumu County banned from hosting Kenyan Premier League matches.

City Stars' chief executive Patrick Korir, said: “We are calling out the football injustices that continuously go on in Muhoroni. It is not a safe space for football to flourish. We ask the federation to act immediately.

Korir said they have written to the Football Kenya Federation highlighting the gamesmanship during their weekend KPL match.

He claimed a videographer was kicked out of the stadium and denied re-entry and a City Stars’ medic was roughed up while on duty.

“Muhoroni scored two genuine goals — a penalty and a free kick — in either half. City Stars scored three headed goals from set pieces, one in the first half and two in the second half, but interestingly, all were called off,” said Korir.

“The game's result was premeditated," he alleged. "We have separately called out the match officials by filing a complaint with the appointing committee.”

Shabana want their game against Muhoroni Youth moved from Muhoroni. Chairman Jared Nivaton and secretary general Elizaphan Kerama said they want a safe venue for their players and fans.

Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu is their preferred venue for Monday's encounter. The stadium will host the Chapa Dimba national finals over the weekend.

Last year, FKF sanctioned Muhoroni Youth and banned the club from hosting five matches at their home ground following crowd trouble in their match against KCB. However, the decision was overturned.
