Ghanaian sensation, Mohammed Kudus feels the Black Stars deserved more after twice surrendering the lead to draw 2-2 against Egypt in a drama-filled  Africa Cup of Nations clash in Abidjan.

“I’m happy to be back. I worked so hard to get back to the top and help my team, my nation. I need to be here”, said the forward after the Thursday late-night match.

Despite the double from Kudus, Ghana only snatched a point from the draw. The West Ham striker couldn't hide his frustration.

“It's a mixed feeling. As a forward, you want your goals to have an impact on the result. We made careless mistakes. Now we'll have to get back to work, win the next one, and then see what happens”, said Kudus.

“We are not out. The objective remains the same, which is to take the trophy home.”

Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton expressed his frustrations following the result.

Ghana led twice and bottled it all to allow Egypt to pick a point from the game. Despite the disappointing result, Hughton is not giving up.

“We will continue to fight. At the moment there is indeed a lot of frustration in the locker room. Our team deserved more, but football is like that. It's frustrating," Hughton said.

"In a similar performance, we would surely have won. Two errors cost us the match. We didn’t take this opportunity to take the three points.”
