Odipo unveils U15 squad for African Schools Zonal qualifiers

FKF named coaches in November to guide the boys and girls under-15 teamsthat will participate in the tournament.

Leonard Odipo has named the national Under-15 boys' provisional squad for the upcoming CAF African Schools Football Championship Zonal Qualifiers.

The team comprises a fine blend of primary and secondary school players. The team began preparations at the Utalii grounds on Friday afternoon.

Kisumu Day has two goalkeepers in the squad, Bob Sam and Elvis Odhiambo.

The Highway Secondary trio consists of midfielder Alvin Oloo, defender Junior Johnstone, and forward Ryan Ehenzo.

Turkana-based Carlpeters Elima Igolan has also made the squad. The tournament kicks off on December 10.

Odipo will be assisted by Benard Kawinzi (assistant coach), and Hesbon Nyabinge (assistant coach).

Yala Township Primary School teacher Ben Ochieng is the team manager with Lawrence Suji the physiotherapist. Others are Noel Mandi (team doctor), George Wambugu (GK trainer) and Isaac Munene (kit manager).

Rosemary Wairimu, a teacher at Bondeni Primary School in Nairobi, is the team manager and will serve alongside Esther Aluoch (physiotherapist), Edith Macharia (team doctor), Pauline Awuor (goalkeeper trainer), and Rebecca Auma (kit manager).
