Nairobi United hope to bounce back to winning ways when they face Migori Youth on Saturday at Awendo Green Stadium.

Coach Paul Okatwa on Thursday said: “We are in this league to compete and not to participate so we are heading to Migori for maximum points.

He downplayed last weekend’s 1-1 draw against bottom-of-the-table Silibwet Leons.

“That draw was bound to happen because we were just from a two-week break because of court cases while Silibwet played two games during that period.

"However, we must recollect ourselves and I believe we are ready for the task against Migori Youth,” said Okatwa.

He added: “I know it will be a difficult match and that is why we have arrived early in Kisii to prepare for the game."

The team had a light training at Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho on Friday afternoon.

Migori games have been moved from their base at Migori Stadium after the Football Kenya Federation banned the facility following crowd trouble during the game against Darajani Gogo. Migori will play five matches away from home and without fans.

Nairobi United, under the chairmanship of journalist Samuel Born Maina, has won two games and drawn one in the league so far.

In other games scheduled for Saturday, Mombasa Elite will welcome winless Darajani Gogo at Mbaraki Sports Club while Kibera Black Satrsd hosts Rainbow at Ligi Ndogo grounds in Nairobi.

At Utalii grounds, Mathare United will invite log leaders and on-form Mara Sugar in a game that is expected to be explosive while newcomers Luanda Villas and Kajiado will collide at Mumboha grounds in Vihiga.

On Sunday, Vihiga Bullets welcome Mombasa Stars at Mumias Sports Complex as Gusii FC hosts Naivas at Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho.

Silibwet Leons and Dimba Patriots will battle it out at Silibwet playground as on-form Kisumu All Stars travel to Machakos for a date with Mully Children’s Family. Kisumu will seek to continue with their winning streak after recording three wins on the trot.

At the Ukunda ASK showground, SS Assad will entertain Mulembe FC.
