Homeboyz to face El Hilal in the preliminary round

The 2023 FKF Cup champions Kakamega Homeboyz will play against Libya's El Hilal in the 2023/24 preliminary round of the Caf Confederations Cup.

This is following a draw held on Tuesday, July 25 in  Cairo, Egypt.

The winner of the two-legged tie will play Rayon Sport of Rwanda in the second round with the overall winner progressing into the Caf Confederations Cup.

The first leg of the first round will be played between September 15 and 17 while the second leg will follow two weeks later.

Homeboyz beat Tusker 1-0 in the finals to bag the FKF Cup thus winning the chance to represent the country in the continental championship.

The Patrick Odhiambo-coached side will be making its maiden appearance at the continental level since its formation.
