Muguna signs for Kenya Police on free transfer

Muguna's contract with Tanzania's Azam FC ended in June after being with the club for two years.

Kenya Police FC have announced the signing of international midfielder Kenneth Muguna on a free transfer.

Muguna's contract with Tanzania's Azam FC ended in June after being with the club for two years.

Police announced the signing on its social media on Friday morning. However, the length of the contract is not yet clear.

“Kenyan international Kenneth Muguna has officially penned down a contract with the biggest club in Africa after completing his medical,” the club wrote on Friday.

The move for Muguna becomes Francis Baraza’s first signing of the season and the first of many names expected to come through the door this transfer window.

On signing for Police, Muguna said: “I know how amazing it feels to win and what it takes to do it.”

Muguna played for Gor Mahia before his move to Azam. He scored five goals and assisted 13 times for the record Kenya Premier League champions before seeking greener pastures.

He also played for Western Stima where he was named the MVP and the best midfielder.
