Stage set for Migori County Term Two games at Ageng'a

Migori County Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association secretary George Kichana on Tuesday released the draws and said all the preparations are complete.

In Summary

•According to the draws, Thim Jope, Anjego mixed and Ageng’a are in pool ‘A’ while hosts Ageng’a, Masara, and Getong’anya will battle it out in pool ‘B’. Pool ‘C’ Kodero Bara, Sori, and Matare whereas pool ‘D’ Raywer, Kebaroti, and Winjo will face off.

•In rugby 7’s the draws will be done at the venue. The team that qualified are debutants Anjego Mixed under veteran coach J.J Masime, Kanga, St Joseph’s Rapogi, Oruba, Isebania Boys, Taranganya, Agenga and Sori.

The stage is set for the Migori County Secondary Schools' Term Two Games starting today all the way to Saturday at Ageng’a High School. 

Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) secretary general, George Kichanareleased the draws on Tuesday and noted that all preparations towards the event are complete.

“We are ready for the three-day event. We expect a highly competitive event because we want to take strong teams for the regionals,” added Kichana.

According to the draws, Thim Jope High School, Anjego Mixed, and Nyamaharaga are in Pool ‘A’ while hosts Ageng’a, Masara, and Getong’anya will battle it out in Pool B’. In Pool C,  Kodero Bara, Sori, and Matare will battle it out whereas Pool ‘D’ will pit Raywer against Kebaroti and Winjo.

In the girls’ category, champions Tuko Jowi was handed an easy draw in Pool ‘A’ together with Obware and Ageng’a while Pool ‘B’ has Nyaroha, Tharaga, and Masara.

Kehancha Day and Winjo MEC will collide in Pool ‘C’ while Nyangoge are in Pool ‘D’ alongside Lwala Mixed and Agongo.

In rugby Sevens, the draws will be conducted at the venue. However, the teams that qualified are debutants Anjego Mixed, Kanga, St. Joseph’s Rapogi, Oruba, Isebania Boys, Taranganya, Agenga, and Sori.

The rugby 7’s finalists will book a slot at the regional games to be held at Maranda School and Nyamira Girls On July 17-22.

In boys’ volleyball, defending champions Sagegi headline Pool ‘D’ alongside Oruba and Iraha while Pool ‘A’ features Winjo, Luoro, and Kuria West. Pool C has Ntimaru, Kanyawanga, and Kegonga as former champions Pe-Hill battle it out with BL-Tezza and Ageng’a in Pool B'.

In the girls’ category, Kameji, Nyandema, and Kopala will face off in Pool ‘A’ as Olasi, Mabera, and Manyonge face off in Pool ‘B’.

Pool ‘C’ has Sagegi, Kehancha Day, and Moi Suba while Nyaroha, Kwibancha, and St Albert’s Ulanda round off pool ‘D’. 

Already, Kisii, Nyamira, Siaya, Homa Bay, and Kisumu have completed their championships.

Netball draws; Pool A: Kimae, Bondo Kosiemo, Kehancha Day; Pool B: Sota SDA, Nyango, Moi Suba; Pool C: Getonganya, Komotobo, Oyugi Ogango; Pool D: Arambe, Owiro Akoko, Wangirabose.

Basketball 3x3: Boys: Pool A: Sori, Rapogi, masara, Kanyawanga; Pool B: Isebania, Taranganya, migori Boys and Manyatta.

Girls: Pool A: Masara, Nyabohanse, Ulanda, Mori; Pool B: BL-Tezza, Tuk Jowi, Mabera and Oyugi Ogango.
