Stars drop three positions in the latest Fifa rankings

Kenya ranks 16th in Africa, three positions drift of neighbours Uganda in 13th with 1250.32 points.

Harambee Stars have dropped three places from 102 and is now ranked 105 worldwide with 1191.07 points on the new Fifa rankings released on June 29.

Kenya ranks 16th in Africa, three positions adrift of neighbours Uganda in 13th with 1250.32 points.

Morocco is the highest ranked African team in position 13 worldwide with 1655.5 points followed by Senegal who are 18th and second continentally with 1612.61 points.

Tunisia closes the top three African teams with 1516.66 points. The North Africans are position 31 in the world.

Stars had a disastrous four-nations outing earlier in the month that saw them suffer a 1-0 defeat to minnows Mauritius.

The rankings will be used to determine the draw of the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers for the African zone.

Kenya have been overtaken by Kazakhstan, Mauritania and Trinidad and Tobago who all had impressive qualifier results for their respective continental tournaments.

Argentina, who won the 2022 World Cup, top the world rankings with 1843.73 points. Runners-up in last year's Qatar assignment France, are second with 1843.54 points.

Brazil, England, Belgium, Croatia, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal and Spain make the top 10.

Meanwhile, Harambee Starlets is ranked 148 in the world with 991.78 points.
