Kenya Women Premier League side Kayole starlets will officially unveil their new sponsor today at Komarock, Nairobi.

Kayole, who will be plying trade in the Division One league next season, will be aiming for a quick return to the top tier.

The team has already been relegated even though there are still six matches left to be played before the season ends.

The WPL tail-enders have had financial challenges that have led to poor performance.

Joshua Sakwa, the immediate former coach who was elevated to become the chairman of the club, said the support will be a big boost to the club's ambition of returning to the big stage as soon as possible.

"The sponsor started supporting us in the second half of the season. Today is about officially announcing the deal. Everything is set. We are just waiting for confirmation,"  Sakwa said.

Kayole have managed a solitary win in 16 matches. Financial struggles saw the team dish out two walkovers in the first leg, leading to a deduction of points by the Football Kenya Federation.

Explaining the points deduction in a past interview Sakwa said: "We did not honor our matches against Bunyore Starlets and Kangemi Ladies. Against Kangemi, security was the issue but the bottom line is financial problems are a letdown."
