Equity Bank Dumas playmaker Victor Bosire is confident of convincingly winning Friday's Playoffs Game One quarter-final tie against the University of Nairobi Terrorists.

He, however, warned that UoN are young and aggressive which must be taken seriously considering they won one of the two meetings during the regular season. The game tips off at 6 pm.

"We need to take care of them early in the series and build a lead with each game," Bosire offered.

The defensive stopper said they hope to use their experience and game management to prevail in play-offs.

"The Kenya Morans' ace said Dumas's goal is to pull good results against their opponents after faring badly in last year's semi-final against KPA

"Our failure last season was a learning curve and we hope to bounce back this year. Besides that was the first time we were featuring in playoffs," he added.

He said the team has a deeper and more experienced squad this time around. On the other hand, UoN captain Dominic Adero said the team has experienced coaches and their training has gone well without disruptions.

"All I can say is I respect our opponents. I can't promise anything whatsoever but we are coming to compete because I like our chances," he said

The other game pitting Strathmore University Blades against Thunder also promises fireworks. The Blades tactician Tony Ochieng said they will go out to build momentum and use depth as the strategy to get the better of their rivals.

Thunder coach Sadat Gaya observed that this is the longest regular season he has ever participated in.

"It is a challenge getting any rhythm and playing great basketball. It also helped our players recover from injuries. Playoffs is a new season."

"We are going against a team that eliminated us last season and also defeated us during the season," noted Gaya.

The playoff matches will continue at the same venue with the visiting KPA teams, who are leading in both the men's and women's categories in action.
