Shabana coach Sammy Okoth rued missed chances as NSL log leaders Shabana were held to a barren draw against visiting Silibwet at Gusii Stadium on Sunday.
“It was a game we would have won but luck was not on our side today. We didn’t play well but in football, it happens. We also did not settle in the game,” said Okoth.
He added: “We dropped two important points but we focus now on our next match against SS Assad in Kwale. At this critical stage, we need to pick maximum points at home.”
Silibwet acting coach Eric Rono said: “It was a good game. We gave our best and picked an important point against log leaders Shabana at Gusii.” He said the five players signed in mid-season have gelled well with the rest and will help them avoid relegation.
Silibwet finished the game with 10 men after Laktano Kiprotich was sent off in the dying minutes of the game.
