Mara Sugar moved to second on the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) National Super League log after a 3-1 win over visiting Mwatate United on Sunday.

Mara Sugar scored through Drona Openda, Brian Ochieng and Philemon Nyakwaka in the game that was played at Awendo Stadium in Migori while Yunas Kasozi netted Mwatate’s lone goal.

Following the win, Francis Xavier’s charges moved to second on the log with 27 points.

Shabana failed to extend their lead on top of the table after suffering a 1-0 loss against Kisumu All-Star at Moi Stadium in Kisumu. Shabana lead the log with 35 points as the first leg concluded over the weekend.

Murang’a Seal drubbed Gusii FC 3-0 at St Sebastian Park to move to third on the log with 26 points. However, Seal have a game in hand against Kisumu All-Stars to be played on Wednesday.

In the game against Gusii, Seal scored through Erick Juma, Titus Kapchanga, and Pablo Oduor.

Kibera Black Stars’ promotion chase suffered a blow after 1-0 against struggling Kajiado FC. Peter Wafula scored the all-important goal for Kajiado as they eased their relegation worries. The win lifted Kajiado from the relegation zone.

Darajani Gogo returned to winning ways after a 2-0 win over Silibwet FC at Camp Toyoyo. Rashid Moyo notched a brace for Gogo.
