The Kenyan Premier League transfer window officially closes on Wednesday with different clubs rushing to beat the deadline.
The transfer market opened in May and several tacticians have since plunged vast resources to bolster their squads ahead of the new season that begins on September 10.
Bandari head coach, Anthony 'Modo' Kimani hopes his new acquisitions will enhance their chances of successfully charging for a maiden top-flight title.
Kimani expressed optimism ahead of the new season, saying he had acquired enough depth to get the work done.
“Practice is going on as planned and all our players are responding very well,” Kimani said.
“We have signed six new players and welcomed back two players others whom we had loaned out to Sofapaka and Mombasa Heroes.”
The six acquisitions at the dockers are Felix Oluoch and Douglas Mokaya ( Kariobangi Sharks), Omar Somobwana (AFC Leopards), Mohamed 'Mudiga' Abeid (Coastal Heroes), Fidel Origa (Wazito) and Wilberfoce Lugogo (Sofapaka).
The side will peg their hopes on Oluoch to sharpen their attack after he narrowly missed out on the Golden Boot in the preceding season.
Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia said they plunged enough resources into the transfer market to secure sufficient talent.
“We've beefed up the squad and we expect a far-much better performance than what we experienced last season,” Akhulia said.
“During the transfer window, we blended youth and experience and strengthened all the departments including the goalkeeping unit.”

“We have assessed the fitness of our players and I can confirm they look ready to compete and are in a good shape,” Otieno said.
The bankers have acquired the services of Harambee Stars' full-back Harun Mwale and goalkeeper Bryne Omondi from Ulinzi Stars and Posta Rangers respectively.
The duo joins Francis Kairo (Talanta) and Danson Chetambe (Bandari).
Newly-appointed Posta Rangers head coach, John Kamau, reckons the club boast sufficient depth to charge effectively for next season's Kenyan Premier League title.
“We already have some talented players who can be called upon to fight for the title. We only need to plug a few key areas in all the departments and we shall be able to record an improved performance from last season,” Kamau said.
Traditional giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards turned to their academy sides for options owing to the ongoing transfer embargo imposed by the world football governing body, Fifa, after both clubs failed to clear debts owed to former players and coaches.
