Ulinzi Stars head gaffer Stephen Ocholla was over the moon after guiding his charges to a an emphatic 2-0 victory over Vihiga Bullets — a side currently tutored by his mentor Abdallah Juma.

Oscar Wamalwa and Bernard Ongoma scored a goal apiece in the fifth and 40th minutes respectively, as the soldiers picked their first win in five matches during the hotly contested Kenyan Premier League encounter at ASK Grounds in Nakuru.

“We came here for all the three points and I’m glad we are going home with our aim fulfilled,” said Ocholla.

“Beating someone who was once my coach is a bitter-sweet victory. I can proudly say coach Abdallah Juma introduced me to football in 2003,” he added.

I hold Abdallah in high esteem given he always imparts some vital tips whenever we get to meet,” said Ocholla.

Despite the loss, Abdallah heaped a lot of praise on his charges, commending them for displaying great character in the face of adversity.

“We have exhibited some constructive football since my arrival at Vihiga. The team has immensely improved and we are now playing very well. Today wasn't just our day,” said Juma.
