Kenya Ports Authority continued their push to the top of the Kenya National Basketball League table after Lakeside failed to show up in Mombasa. 

The porters bagged two easy points at their Makande Welfare hall backyard and moved from seventh to third place on the 12-team log.

They had on the previous day whipped the visiting African Nazarene University’s (ANU) Wolfpacks 63-30. Leek Deng nailed 16 points and Thomas Odhiambo added 14 for KPA who were up 37-23 at halftime.

In Nairobi, Zetech University Sparks also moved to second place with an easy 84-15 victory over Eagle Wings.

Medina Okot grabbed 26 points as she led the students, who now have 33 points— one behind leaders Equity Bank Hawks.

Sparks made it a super weekend after drubbing Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Jkuat) Lynx 72-24.

The Juja-based students turned the heat on University of Nairobi Dynamites silencing them 51-33. In the lower division matches, Coastal Queens lost 48-43 to Footprints in the men's cadre while Stanbic Shields beat Congo Nets 61-51.
