Reigning women's champions KPA torched Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Jkuat) 98-24.

A beaming KPA head coach Anthony Ojukwu remained confident ahead of his charges' home games in the coming week.

"It was a great weekend and a great outing. Our focus and concentration should be on the main prize," said Ojukwu.

He went on: "We are the favorites and we must take every game seriously. The semis are going to be a bit tough, but I believe with good preparations, we will win."

KU's Caleb Osewe, whose team also lost 82-51 to KPA in the regular season fixtures a week ago, will have to change tack if they hope to survive in a week's time.

"The boys tried their best but can still do better than this, especially, if they put more emphasis on finishing tactics," offered Osewe.

"With two more games to play on their home turf in a week's time, I believe we can still pull a surprise when we get to work seriously this week."
