Trials for Africa U18 and U20 CAA championships postponed

Due to the unavailability of the two stadiums, the trials scheduled for Kasarani Stadium and Nyayo Stadium were unable to proceed as scheduled.

The trials for Africa Under 18 and Under 20 athletics championships, earlier scheduled for this weekend have been postponed to April 7-8.

Due to the unavailability of the two stadiums, the trials scheduled for Kasarani Stadium and Nyayo Stadium were unable to proceed as scheduled.

According to Athletics Kenya, the trials are considered a World Athletics Competition and must therefore be held in a standard stadium, Kasarani and Nyayo in this case.

The governing body also urged athletes with no passports to start the process of acquiring one and advised school-going athletes to be cleared by their school principal and their birth certificates verified by their school before vetting day.

The upcoming trials will be used to select athletes to represent Kenya at the Africa U18 and U20 Athletics championships that will be held from April 29 –May 5 in Lusaka, Zambia.
