Women's champions Kenya Ports Authority torched University of Nairobi 'Dynamites' 64-30 in a Kenya National Basketball League (KNBL) tie at Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium.

The porters, who have now won all their four opening games, raced to a 21-8 first quarter advantage, keeping the campus girls under 10 points in all the four quarters.

"The game was good. I am happy for the players and the team in general. We executed well and everything worked as planned," said the porters coach Anthony Ojukwu.

"The game was good. We were in the right mind and really pushed ourselves.Today, we scored free throws that gave us the advantage," said student coach Maurice Obilo.

"This win was very important and gives the girls confidence for the coming games. Christine (Akinyi) and Kyobe Chantal came out strong," Abilo added. Akinyi registered 17 points.

In the men's matches, KPA subjected University of Nairobi 'Terrorists' to their fourth game in a row, winning this encounter 62-52.

Suprise package Africa Nazarene University (ANU) continued their giant killing act, thumping the visiting Lakeside 63-30.
