Kenya Prisons quest for the Africa Club title ended on Monday evening following a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-22) defeat to Mouloudia Sport De Bou Salem of Tunisia in the semifinals.

Prisons coach James Mokua was grateful in defeat, extolling his charges for a remarkable rally.

“Despite facing formidable opponents, the team’s journey to the semifinals served as a testament to their growth and cohesion,” Mokua said.

“Making it this far in the championship is a big deal. The boys showed a lot of courage throughout the championship.”

Meanwhile, the women’s version will serve off on Wednesday through May 5 at the same venue. Kenya will be represented by last year’s finalists Kenya Pipeline, local champions KCB and Kenya Prisons.
