The Kenya Volleyball Federation has named the squads for the Africa Volleyball Federation CAVB Zone Five qualifiers.
18 players have been named in the Wafalme (men's team) squad while their women counterparts (Malkia Strikers) have 19 players expected to train at the Nyayo Stadium ahead of the continental assignment.
Malkia will be captained by experienced outside hitter Mercy Moim who has enjoyed a trophy-laden career at club and national team levels.
Kenya Prisons duo Joy Luseneka and Pamela Masaisai return to the side.
Emmaculate Nekesa who savoured ties with KCB in favour of Kenya Pipeline has also made the cut.
Japheth Munala replaces Paul Bitok as head coach while Josp Barasa will be his assistant. Decorated former Malkia star Janet Wanja is the team trainer. John Ogara and Sarah Karongo are the team manager and physiotherapist respectively.
Steered by the adept coach Gideon Tarus, the men's technical bench will include the expertise of coach Denis Mokua and Elisha Aliwa. Former Prisons player Brackcides Agala has been crafted as the team trainer.
