National Olympic Committee of Kenya will partner with Busia County ahead of the Africa Beach Games set for Tunisia later this month.

NOC-K paid a courtesy visit on Busia County government and governor Paul Otuoma to pitch plan and ask for collaboration.

The collaboration revolves around water sports that includes beach volleyball, Judo, 3x3 basketball among others.

"The key aspect is to be able to use our natural resources especially the water bodies which we have across the country," NOC-K secretary general, Francis Mutuku said.

"We have to take this advantage so that  the communities within this area can see the great opportunity of using these facilities to train. We also encourage our federations to consider moving outside Nairobi," Mutuku added.

Otuoma on his part said: "We would like to partner with them (NOC-K). We hope in the long run, we are going to have a memorandum  of understanding with them in some of the activities we can do to promote sports that NOC-K is involved in".
