Kenya Police team is worried about the threat posed by Sailors as the two sides face off in the men's hockey Premier League match at the City Park Stadium on May 13.

The law enforcers' coach Patrick Mugambi said the unpredictability element makes their rivals a tough nut to crash.

The two teams registered a pair of draws last season but the Police are optimistic of bagging maximum points.

Police, the former league champions, have mastered four points from two matches played so far. Sailors, on the other hand, have managed six points following two wins and as many losses.

"It is tough to play against a team that does not play with a system. Sailors are unpredictable always and tend to make life difficult for the opposition," Mugambi admitted.

"We took just two points last season. We are going all out for a win," he added.

Mugambi said he will miss the services of Robert Masibo and Willis Okeyo who are away to Germany for professional stints.

In another match, United States International University USIU-A Mashujaa plays Western Jaguars on Saturday before squaring it out with Wazalendo on Sunday.

These are the opening two matches for the students this season.

Jaguars will also rub shoulders with Kenya College of Accountancy University KCA-U.

In the women's cadre, Blazers face off Lakers in Kisumu on Saturday. Sunday sees the lakeside club host the University of Nairobi UON.

Lakers coach Austin Tuju said: "A win will put us in a steady position as the league takes shape. We have to manage the game better this time round because we have always dropped points from the winning position against the Blazers'.
